Open Advising Hours
Dean Toni-Marie Achilli is offering office hours on the following days and time. No appointment is necessary to drop in. Open hours will be held in person at Arnold Lab 126, with a possibility of remote adjustment.
Declaration Workshops
Declaration Workshops are group advising sessions designed to support students as they navigate the concentration declaration process. These workshops provide an opportunity to ask questions, collaborate with peers, and receive guidance from a Biology Undergraduate Education Advisor before submitting their declaration. While participation is encouraged, it is not required. Students can use this time to refine their course plan, clarify requirements, and ensure they are making informed decisions about their concentration. Advising Appointment Calendar
The Academic Advisors in the Office of Biology Undergraduate Education are available to advise and assist students in all of the Biology concentrations – from undeclared first-year students to seniors. All appointments with Dean Toni-Marie Achilli will be made directly through Xiabin Cao by email. All other advisor appointments can be self-selected by clicking on the "Advising Appointment Calendar" link below.
BUE Student Ambassador Office Hours
BUE Student Ambassadors are junior and senior Biology and Health & Human Biology concentrators who serve as liaisons between students and the Biology Undergraduate Education Office. They provide insights on course selection, research opportunities, and navigating the concentration from a student perspective. Ambassadors also help foster a supportive academic community by hosting events, sharing resources, and offering guidance based on their own experiences. Whether you have questions about declaring your concentration or want advice on making the most of your time in the program, BUE Student Ambassadors are here to help!
