Biology Undergraduate Education

My name is Ava Steger (she/her) and I'm studying Biology on the Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology track! I currently work in the Kartzinel Lab, although I have also worked in marine biology and neuroscience labs here. I'm also a microbiology TA, as I'm passionate about integrating microbiology into conservation and genetic biology. I've worked in labs as an UTRA recipient, and received a student-led SPRINT for the summer of 2025, and would love to help others get funding for their research! I currently work as a CC, but have worked as a Meiklejohn and Bruno Leader, and love getting to be a part of campus orientation. I'm a coordinator for Brown Science Prep, and am also involved in WiSE and club field hockey.
