How to Succeed in Research

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH INFO SESSION

5:30 pm - 6:15 pm

Learn more about participating and succeeding in research at Brown as an undergraduate! This event will feature Associate Dean of Biology Undergraduate Education Toni-Marie Achilli, who will discuss how to succeed in research. Dean Achilli will also discuss undergraduate research opportunities on campus such as the SPRINT awards. There will be a small panel of biology undergraduate students who have done research on campus to talk about their experiences.

PLME SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES INFO SESSION

6:15 pm - 6:45 pm

This part of the event will focus on PLME-only opportunities. We will discuss the PLME Summer Research Assistantship (SRA), SRA-Emergency Medicine (SRA-EM), and the Emerging Infectious Diseases Scholars (EIDS) Program.

PLME students interested in participating in international summer mini-courses are encouraged to attend for information on the programs available for the summer of 2024.

A panel of PLME students who have been awarded PLME SRAs and have traveled to Rostock and Tuebingen in Germany will share their experiences.

Considering an SRA next summer? Posters from this past summer's SRA projects will be on display in Sayles Hall. Come support your fellow PLME students! We welcome all mentors and lab members!
